Eye strain is the silent killer of developer productivity. You don’t notice it until it’s too late, and then you’re dealing with headaches, fatigue, and decreased focus. But it’s completely preventable.
The 20-20-20 Rule
Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. This
simple rule gives your eye muscles a break and prevents the strain
that builds up from constant close-up focus.

Blue Light Filters
I installed blue light filter apps on all my devices and bought blue
light blocking glasses. The difference was immediate—less eye fatigue
and better sleep quality.
The Setup
I adjusted my monitor brightness to match my room lighting, increased
font sizes, and positioned my screen at arm's length. Small changes,
massive impact on eye health.
